This website is operated and administered on behalf of ABC Taxis Boston. The website owner is the data controller for personal information collected through this website — determining how your information is used and responsible for protecting it under the law.

The website owner is not employed by, nor do they provide driving or passenger services for, ABC Taxis Boston — they manage only the online platform and its administration.

What information we collect

When you send a booking request through our form, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:

• your name and phone number
• your email address, if you provide one
• your pick-up address and destination
• the date, time and number of passengers, and luggage
• any notes you give us, such as accessibility needs

We do not collect sensitive personal information unless you voluntarily share it with us specifically to help arrange your journey.

How and why we use your information

We use this information to pass your booking details to ABC Taxis Boston so they can arrange, confirm and carry out your journey, and to reply to your enquiry. We also use it to communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, changes or updates.

Our legal basis is that this is necessary to provide the service you have asked for, or to take steps at your request before a booking is made. Where we are required to retain certain details for compliance with applicable laws, our legal basis is legal obligation.

We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not send unsolicited promotional communications.

Who we share your information with

We share your journey details only with ABC Taxis Boston and the driver carrying out your booking, solely to arrange and carry out your journey. Our website hosting and email platform providers also handle data on our behalf, under binding data protection agreements, when they deliver and store messages.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order or regulatory body.

We do not sell your information or use it for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep booking enquiries for 12 months and then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer for a legal reason such as a complaint, dispute or statutory obligation — in which case records may be kept for up to 6 years where required.

Cookies, fonts and maps

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, and its maps come from OpenStreetMap. When these load, your IP address is shared with those providers. See their own privacy policies for details.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or limit how we use it. You can also object to our use of your information, and request your data in a machine-readable format where applicable.
